اثر دیکھا دعا جب رات بھر کی
ضیا کچھ کچھ ہے تاروں میں سحر کی
ہوئے رخصت جہاں سے صبح ہوتے
کہانی ہجر کی یوں مختصر کی
تڑپ اٹھے لحد کے سونے والے
زمیں کی سمت کیوں تم نے نظر کی
سحر دیکھیں یہ حسرت لے گئے ہم
بتائیں کیا تمہیں کیوں کر سحر کی
