اب آؤ سرود غم سنائیں
سوتی ہوئی روح کو جگائیں
اجزائے حیات منتشر ہیں
آئین حیات کیا بنائیں
ہو جاؤں میں زندگی سے بیزار
اتنا بھی نہ آپ آزمائیں
بجھنے کو ہے شمع زندگانی
کیا آپ کو حال دل سنائیں
میں خوگر درد ہو چلا ہوں
اچھا ہے کہ آپ اب نہ آئیں
عشرت کے فریب کھانے والے
جینا ہے اگر تو غم اٹھائیں
مجبور یقین وعدہ ہوں میں
اے ہوشؔ وہ آئیں یا نہ آئیں
