Fil minib, o‘t yoqib o‘tib ketdim
Yana ustingdan, ey cho‘ziq daryo!
Yana qirg‘oqlaringga his sepdim,
Munga sen berma boshqa xil ma’no:
Hisni qirg‘oqlaringga sepmoqlik
Menda bir eski, tentak odatdir.
Yosh to‘kib tuprog‘ingni o‘pmoqlik
Keng xayolimda bir saodatdir.
To‘rt yog‘ing ko‘m-ko‘k o‘t va maysa ekan,
Quchog‘im shu qadar ochildiki, men
Tanlarimga botib ketib-da tikan
Sezmadim, «gul» dedim… yo‘qolding sen
Ko‘zlarim oldidan… Qarab qoldim,
Yana yo‘llarga och nazar soldim.
Boy tabiat butun go‘zalligini,
Bilaman, ko‘kragingdan olgandir.
Boy dala maqtanuvchi menligini
Yashnatib, ko‘ksinga qadalgandir.
Shu go‘zal chehralarga suv emizib
Burilib, aylanib oqib yotasan.
Shu qadar jonlilarga yem yegizib
Qora dashtlar tomon chopib yotasan.
Shu go‘zal chehralar kulib yotsin,
Qora dashtlar tomon chopib oqaver!
Tovushing yo‘qsul elni uyg‘otsin,
Kuchli, loy suvlaring bilan birga
U o‘lim uyqusi oqib bitsin!
Yana bir qatla hurmatim senga!..
