It.source experience[edit]

We "discovered/rediscovered" microformats in the beginning of 2011, and there're some running applications, the main is used to load quality level, and user, of Page pages into ns0) . Consider too a possible extension of this interesting syntax.

If you wrap a microformat datum into a section with the same name:

<section begin="ws-publisher" /><span id="ws-publisher">J. M. Dent; E. P. Dutton</span><section end="ws-publisher" />

or

<span id="ws-publisher"><section begin="ws-publisher" />J. M. Dent; E. P. Dutton<section end="ws-publisher" /></span>

This syntax allows to get the content of "variable ws-publisher" in two different ways: by html parsing by js, into the same page where's the code has been written/transcluded, and by section transclusion , into any page of the project.

There's a subtle difference between the two variants, since in the second case the "html microformat" is not trascluded. --Alex brollo 23:04, 21 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The term "microformat" has a specific meaning; can an alternative term be used, please? Pigsonthewing (talk) 23:46, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
