- As of today, book 7 is missing, and some 20 hymns from chapter 8, so about 120 hymns. But formatting and encoding (replacing | by ।) need a lot of work. Yann 09:24, 6 August 2005 (UTC)

This is an incredibly great job being done here! Just a couple of small issues. 1. A number of terminal "म्" seem to lack the halant. As far as I know, 1:1 should end: "रत्नधातमम्", not "रत्नधातमम" as it currently does. 2. "ऋ" sometimes appears as "र" - the way I was taught the verse, the first line of 1:1 should end "देवमृत्वीजम्", not "देवं रत्वीजम". On checking the handful of hymns I know, these seem to continue through the text - in 10:121, for example, the ending of the first line of verse 7 "जनयन्तीरग्निम" should have a halant at the end to read "जनयन्तीरग्निम्". The second line of verse 1 of 10:121 says "पर्थिवीं" for "पृथिवीं", and every other instance of "ऋ" in this hymn seems to appear as "र". I just thought I'd mention this as it seems to me that they are most probably a result of a bug in the program used to unicodise the text, rather than variant or metrically restored readings. -- Arvind from nn-wikipedia 19:02, 12 November 2005 (UTC)

- They occur in the ten or so hymns I know. I don't have a print edition handy so I can't check the document systematically, but I'll ask a relative to check. -- Arvind from nn-wikipedia 15:40, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, they seem to be systematic throughout the document - each of the thirty randomly-selected hymns we checked had them. We also found another problem, in that adjacent vowels are sometimes combined even when there is no sandhi, as in पतिरेकासीत instead of पतिरेक आसीत. However, the good news is that none of these problems occur in the raw files on Rig Veda (ASCII), so it is very likely to only be a bug in the script which converted the files to Unicode. -- Arvind from nn-wikipedia 18:40, 16 November 2005 (UTC)

All 1028 Suktas of Rigveda new updated[edit]
From 3 January 2009 till 15 February 2009 I replaced all 1028 Suktas by a new version which does not show the systematic errors of the previous version.
