A funny story about a brogue-maker named Nicky Hay who was owed money by a tanner named Sinnott.

He decided he would dress up as a ghost one night, meet him on the road home from the alehouse at dark, and get what he was owed back.

Hay - Don't you know? I was dead yesterday early and I can't go to rest until you give me up this wrapped paper you have in your pocket!

Yith no! Chull taake thee wi mee!

If no! I will take you with me!

Haay - here taake it wi thee!

Hay - here take it with you!

He fled from the scene in an instant.
