Bir tomchi to‘kilgan yosh uchun shuncha so‘lishmi?
Bu bog‘chada gul ko‘p edi – so‘ldi amalimdek!
Ko‘nglingda biror sharpani sezsam edi, guldek
O‘lganda-da sen menda ko‘rarding sevinishni!
Shaftolida oy nurini ko‘rgach yana ruhim,
Oylar kabi yosh davriga suqlar kabi boqdi.
Yoshlik o‘zi – sevging kabi – tortilmadi bir zum,
Bir zum o‘zi, bir gul o‘zi… do‘zax kabi yoqdi!
Ko‘p titrama, ko‘p o‘ynama, ko‘p qaynama, ey barg!
Hirs ko‘zlari sof ko‘ksingga og‘uli tikandek
Bir botsa-da, yig‘latsa-da, dodlatsa-da… mendek
Har ko‘zga boqarsangki: «Topilmas toza istak!»
Mendan so‘ra: yolg‘iz, mana, men aldanib o‘tdim,
Har safhasi, har yaprog‘i «aldash» bu kitobning!
Bir o‘qqa ilinmasmi, tilinmasmidi joning?
Oy qo‘ynida tong otguncha senga shuni aytdim…
Bir tomchi to‘kilgan yosh uchun shuncha so‘libsan,
Aldamchi fano ko‘zlara tentakcha kulibsan!..
