Béde-lo, quaije n’alto d'la cabéça
D’ l' Europa tóda ’l reino Luzitano,
Dónde la tĭêrr'acaba i 'l mar ampéça
I dónde Febo durme n'Oceano.
'Ł Çĭêlo qijo q'ést' èiqi fluréça
Nas armas cóntra 'I bruto Mauritano,
Butando-lo de ſi, i ni 'I deixando
Alhá, n'Africa, star la paç guzando.
Yê ésta la mĭê patria múi amada:
Si a éilha me lhebar 'l Çiêlo amigo,
Cum tóda la mi' obra ya acabada,
Apaghe-ſ 'ésta luç ênde cumigo!
Fui d'atrás Luzitania , aſí chamada
De Luzo ou Lyza , qe děl Baco antigo
Érã filhos, pareçe, ou cumpanheiros,
