अवध नगरिया के राम दूनू, भइया से हँसि-हँसि मोहेले परनवाँ हो लाल।
साँवली सुरतिया उनकर मोहिनी, मुरतिया से नीक लागे तोतरी बचनियाँ लाल।
फूल तुड़े गइली सखिया राजा जी के बगिया सेदेखि अइली धेनुकी धरनवाँ हो लाल।
नीको नाहीं लागे सखी घरवा दुअरवा से नीको नाहीं लागेला अंगनवाँ हो लाल।
जब सुधि आवे सखी साँवली सुरतिया से व्याकुल होखेला परनवाँ हो लाल।
कहत महेन्दर मोरा तरसे नयनवँ से कबले दू होइहें मिलनवाँ हो लाल।
