Пĕччен çӳреп улăхпа —
Пĕчĕк çырма хĕррипе
Ăшăм тулли хуйхăпа.
Савнипеле çӳреттĕм,
Çеçкесене тататтăм,
Пуçилемĕ тăваттăм,
Хам савнине параттăм.
Халь те çеçке татам-ши,
Пуçилемĕ тăвам-ши?
Пуçилемĕ тусассăн,
Ăна кама парам-ши?
Çавах чуна хытарса,
Тĕрлĕ çеçке тататăп;
Хам савнине асăнса,
Хам пуç çине хуратăп.
Ах, çунать-çке ман чĕрем,
Куççуль юхать куçăмран!
Ӳкет пуçăм илемĕ
Ман хуйхăллă пуçăмран.
Ах, рăскаллă кунăмсем
Килмĕç ĕнтĕ нихçан та!
Ĕлĕкхи пек савнăçсем
Кураймăп эп ĕмĕрте.
Манăн чунăм савнисĕр
Çут тĕнчерен сивĕнчĕ:
Курăк çĕре витнĕ пек,
Хуйхăпала витĕнчĕ.
Чун савнисĕр пурăнма
Нумай кирлĕ вăй чăтма.
Çавах тӳссе пурăнап,
Хам савнине асăнап.
