Астазыккон Черменæн йæ мады ’фсымæр ралæвар кодта хъазæн фæрæт. Чермен йæхицæй хъæддзау акодта, фæрæт йе уæхскыл авæрдта æмæ уæртæ фæцæуы. Бацыди дыргъты цæхæрадонмæ, лæппын фæткъуы бæлæстæй рæсугъддæр чи уыди, уый равзæрста æмæ йæ лыг кæныныл ныллæууыди. Акуыста Чермен дæс минуты бæрц, æмæ бæлас афæлдæхти. Уыйфæстæ та лæппу фæрæт йе уæхскыл авæрдта. Кæс, æмæ æцæг хъæддзауы хуызæн бараст ис хæдзармæ.
Дыккаг бон Чермены фыд уыди цæхæрадоны. Фæткъуы бæлас калдæй куы федта, уæд бамæсты ис æмæ хъæрæй æлгъитын байдыдта:
— Йæ къухтæ бахуыскъ уой, чи уыди ай, чи мын алыг кодта мæ бæлæсты хуыздæр? Æз æй базонон, стæй йын хорз фæуыдзынæн.
Уыцы афон Чермен уыди быруйы æдде æмæ бамбæрста, сгуыхт хъуыддаг ын кæй нæ уыдис бæласы акалд.
«Хъуамæ гæды ма зæгъон, хъуамæ мæхи ма бамбæхсон», — сдзырдта Чермен хинымæр. Фидар къахдзæфæй бараст ис цæхæрадонмæ, æрлæууыди йæ фыды раз æмæ загъта:
— Баба, æз акалдтон бæлас. Æз дæн аххосджын. Æз уыцы ран пыссадздзынæн æмæ схъомыл кæндзынæн æндæр бæлас.
Фыд ма мæсты каст кодта, фæлæ мæсты нал уыди — Чермены ныхæстæ йын ахуыссын кодтой йæ маст. «Æгайтма йæ фырт гæды нæу, æгайтма афтæ комкоммæ басасти йæ аххосыл... Сахъ лæг дзы рацæудзæн, бæлвырд».
