Мисьтӧм чужӧм кулӧм кысь и боссяс,
Шурк-шарк сы водзын со ӧдзӧс воссяс;
Пӧльыштас мем кӧдзыд тӧв...
Сэтшӧм кӧдзыд эз на вӧв!
Оз и юав: «Коркӧ виччысин-ӧ,
Мый ме локта водз тэ том морт дінӧ?»
Оз и юась, шуас: «Вод!» —
Сідз оз лыйлы нинӧкод!
Тайӧ гӧсьт дырйи, дерт, рам ме лоа,
Та водзын рам йӧз ног гӧгӧрвоа
Кывтӧ бӧрйыны, эн пов!
Гӧстьлы шуа: «Будь здоров!
Югыдкӧд тай сьӧкыд янсӧдчыныс
Ловлы, кагалы моз мамыс дінысь...
Аддзан-ӧ тэ менсьым шог?»
Оз тай шмонит! Шуас: «Ог!» —
«Мый мем колӧ вӧчны, эг на эшты;
Йӧзлы уджйӧза, а эг на вешты.
Лэдз тэ ӧнісянь...»
И шуас: «Шань!»
«Кывзы. Мыйта кодлы пуктӧм, шог-гажъясным
Быдсӧн вывті мунасны мед! Сет мем ас нэм!»
— «Ланьт пӧ». — «Ме зэв том...»
И шуас: «Пом!»
«Вода кувны! Овны ог ме вӧзйысь!
Сӧмын бурджыкӧс мем сетны кӧсйысь,
Эн нач гу да пожӧм пӧв...»
