Кыдз тэд бур ав ен оз сет?
Видчан ӧтар пыр! А тӧдса,
Да и вок! Дерт, зэв ме тӧдча…
Дерт, эг вӧвлы ме поэт,
Кӧть и шулісны поэтӧн
Школасянь. Код, кыдзи сэтӧн,
Комиын, оз бардӧ пет,
Борд кӧ босьтны кужас киас,
Да и ен кӧ сылы сиас
Рифма аддзыны, кыдз мем?
Сэтшӧм со поэт ме-й эм.
Мыля жӧ ме тшӧтшкӧртала
Ассьым лякӧм, кор эз пет
Меысь гырысьджык поэт?
Удж нин эз ло? Со-со тала
Ме и гижа ӧні тэд,
Ме йылысь он пӧръясь мед.
Зэв ӧмӧй нӧ лёк нин пӧрысь,
Кодыр сійӧ синъяснас
Ӧткымынысь том ныв бӧрысь
Чеччывлытӧг ылавлас?
Зэв ӧмӧй нин омӧль гӧрысь,
Кодыр кепысь кыаннас
Гӧтырыскӧд мырддьысьлас?
Шойччывтӧг-ӧ туйморт мӧдӧ
Водзӧ? Гашкӧ, лӧсьӧдан,
Быд минутӧ — сійӧ-й тӧдӧ —
Сӧмын ханствуйтӧ мед хан?
Ӧні ме. Мый вирш-мӧд гижа,
Кор удж йирны мудзас ан,
Зэв ӧмӧй нӧ лоа мыжа?

Виршъяс гижӧм; Беранжекӧд,
Бернскӧд, Гейнекӧд ме кось
Ог и лӧсьӧд! А со тэкӧд
Ордйысям кор колӧ пыр,
