10. Monitor the implementation of laws pertaining to persons with disabilities at the barangay level every semester and ensure the attainment of a barrier-free environment, and non-compliant establishments and such other places mentioned under Accessibility Law;
11. Monitor and report discriminatory acts committed against persons with disabilities on, though not limited, vilification;
12. Assist the victims in their complaints for discriminatory acts;
13. As to disaster preparedness and management, identify the residences of the PWDs and adopt a system for their evacuation, if necessary, during calamities and extend possible assistance;
14. Engage the persons with disabilities in various development efforts to promote
inclusive development;
15. Implement and cooperate in the ENABLING THE D.I.S.A.B.L.E.D. (Developing
Individuals' Skills and Abilities by Bringing them Livelihood Trainings for Employment
and Deployment) Program of the Person with Disabilities Affairs Office;
16. Initiate and design livelihood seminars or trainings for persons with disabilities.
SECTION 4. SEPARABILITY CLAUSE. If for any reason or reasons, any part or provision of this Ordinance shall be held unconstitutional, other parts hereof which are not affected shall remain in force.
SECTION 5. REPEALING CLAUSE. All Ordinances, resolutions, or regulations or part/s thereof which are inconsistent with this Ordinance are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.
SECTION 6. EFFECTIVITY CLAUSE. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval and in accordance with the Local Government Code.
