EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 24 Series of 2020
IMPLEMENTING AN EXTREME ENHANCED COMMUNITY QUARANTINE WITHIN THE TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF AGOO, LA UNION TO CONTAIN THE SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19), SUPERSEDING EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 23-2020.
WHEREAS, reports show that cases of COVID-19 worldwide and in the country are very alarming wherein statistical data of local transmission in the Philippines continues to rise,
WHEREAS, the Department of Health (DOH)-Center for Health Development- Ilocos Region has recently confirmed two (2) positive cases of COVID-19 in La Union and one (1) positive case in Pangasinan, WHEREAS, as per DOH report, the two (2) cases are from the nearby Municipality of Caba, La Union,
WHEREAS, intensifying and strengthening the LGU's campaign and precautionary/preventive measures to contain COVID-19 in a more comprehensive way is not only mandatory but necessary
THEREFORE, in view of the foregoing, I, STEFANIE ANN Y. ERIGUEL, M.D... Municipal Mayor of the Municipality of Agoo, La Union, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order:
Section EXTREME ENHANCED COMMUNITY QUARANTINE GUIDELINES:
1. On the entry and exit of all vehicles and individuals from places outside Agoo:
a. The Agoo Police Station shall establish a checkpoint in all entry/exit points and road boundaries specifically Sta. Rita Norte/Sta. Ana, San Francisco/Macalva Sur, Sta. Fe, Macalva Norte going Tubao and Aringay, San Manuel Sur, and San Roque East, in close coordination with the Agoo Traffic Management Office (ATMO) and Municipal Health Office (MHO). A team composed of police personnel, ATMO constable and a municipal health worker shall be assigned for each checkpoint. Closure of roads is enjoined if necessary.
b. Each team shall strictly monitor the temperature using infra-red thermometer and inspect travel permit/home quarantine passes of individuals/vehicles who wish to enter/exit Agoo Vehicle owners/passengers and individuals with no proper travel papers and with body temperature above 37.8 degrees Celsius are not allowed to enter Agoo .
c. All barangays of Agoo shall also establish their own checkpoints to monitor the entry and exit of vehicles and individuals in their respective barangays. House quarantine pass, reason for entry and exit, body temperature shall strictly be checked and logged properly.
d. Delivery of goods such as fuel/gasoline, food, grocery items, water, medicines, 3-27 and other allowed basic necessities in Agoo is allowed. The driver's license of the vehicle driver shall be deposited to the officer at the checkpoint upon entry and will be returned upon exit.
