غم چھیڑتا ہے ساز رگ جاں کبھی کبھی
ہوتی ہے کائنات غزل خواں کبھی کبھی
ہم نے دیئے ہیں عشق کو تیور نئے نئے
ان سے بھی ہو گئے ہیں گریزاں کبھی کبھی
اے دولت سکوں کے طلبگار دیکھنا
شبنم سے جل گیا ہے گلستاں کبھی کبھی
ہم بے کسوں کی بزم میں آئے گا اور کون
آ بیٹھتی ہے گردش دوراں کبھی کبھی
کچھ اور بڑھ گئی ہے اندھیروں کی زندگی
یوں بھی ہوا ہے جشن چراغاں کبھی کبھی
