Пур-и эсĕ, çук-и эс?
Сана пĕрре вăрçмăттăм —
Анчах вăрçма хал çитмест.
Мĕншĕн эсĕ çынсене
Ытла питĕ чармастăн?

Пит ирĕке яратăн?
Эпĕ, сан пек пулсассăн
Ирсĕрленме памăттăм!

Çылăх çипне татăттăм!
Пĕтĕм этем чĕрине

Пуçа кĕме памăттăм.
Çынсен манăн алăра
Усал тума пĕлмĕччĕç,
Хуть те мĕнле вăхăтра
Пĕр ырă çех тăвĕччĕç.
Ваттисене пчиккисем
Тайла-тайла çӳрĕччĕç,
Ясар, вăрă чĕресем
Вăл çынлăха тумĕччĕç.
Никам урам варринче
Эрех ĕçсе ӳкмĕччĕ.
Святой ӳсĕ умĕнче
Çын карманне касмĕччĕ.
Вырсарни кун çитсессĕн,
Хам чирĕке пухăттăм.
Чирĕкăшне кĕрсессĕн,
Кулкалама памăттăм.
Сан пек пулсан, кашнине
Пĕр пек татăк парăттăм.
