Thanks for the note on my user page. I have reviewed the matter of the Autobiography of a Yogi, and I am pleased to announce that I will be restoring your contribution. The specific material that you submitted was not convincing in itself as it appeared to recognize the rights of Ananda alone to reproduce the book. Under those circumstances one could not jump to the conclusion that this right was available to third parties.

I was, however, able to find the judgement of the Court of Appeals which satisfied my doubts. I will be attaching a copy of that judgement as a sub-page to the work in questions. The judgement raises some interesting issues concerning the right to renew a copyright. Eclecticology 07:43, 21 May 2004 (UTC)Reply

Now that the file has been restored, it would be appreciated if you wuld break the text down to manageable pieces. With slightly less than a megabyte of information it is currently the third largest file in Wikisource (Behind Pi to 1,250,000 places and a list of Russian words beginning with the letter "П") Such large files create a serious problem for users with a slow internet connection. Breaking it down means cutting it down into separate articles. Perhaps (but not necessarily) even one for each chapter. The current article would then be left with a list of links to the separate parts, and perhaps the introductory material. Putting section markings of any kind in the article as it exists won't help at all. If people can't properly download the material it becomes useless. Eclecticology 19:13, 23 May 2004 (UTC)Reply
