Hi, I'm Kelly Anderson, dad, programmer and part time Wikipedian.

I was so excited by Wikipedia that I went out and grabbed www.codewiki.com and org. I thought of setting up something similar to the Source Code portion of WikiSource. I'm glad someone else is moving forward with the concept.

I believe that there is a need for a wiki of source code snippets, algorithms, protocols, etc. all in one place, an editable place. Not that everything should be editable, it should be at least annotatable. For example, RFCs that define Email and such should be here, or at least be linked to from here, and then annotated or explained when they are not terribly clear. Sometimes, those who understand the RFCs know things like when certain things that SHOULD be done are not done by lots of people and the like. The Wiki is a great place to store this kind of information.

I'm looking forward to this site moving forward in the way Wikipedia did.
