Summary

Description
English: This volume covers five works for theatrical representation in neapolitan language, written by Aniello Costagliola (1871-1928).

This volume was prepared in 1929 and includes a foreword by Roberto Bracco (1861-1943).

The works here contained are:

  • Calzoleria Majetta (First published in 1910 in Naples; G.M.Priori editor)[1]
  • Ombre a mare (First published in 1920)[2]
  • Cronaca nera (First published in 1910; T. Pironti editor)[1]
  • Masaniello (First published in 1912; Stab. tip. S. Morano editor)[1]
  • Carmela (First represented in 1916; [3]; According to the italian copyright law (Law nr.2652/10 agosto 1875 -down in 1925-), the publication must be in deposit the latest three months after first representation, so it must have been published in 1916-1917 in Italy)

This whole volume is now under the public domain in Italy, being every piece of the text written by an author dead more than 70 years ago (italian-PD).
For the whole work one may argue that it falls under the public domain in the US, since each individual play was published before 1923 abroad.
