[edit] How to start a project

  1. Read Wikiproject Best practices for tips on leading a WikiProject.
  2. Create the main project page at "WikiProject projectname". (See Starting a new page)
  3. Make sure to add the project page to Category:WikiProjects

[edit] Tips

  1. Identify pages within the scope of your project:
    • A good way to do this is to copy the listings of Special:Whatlinkshere for the most important articles related to your project.
  2. Create a project to-do list to focus and coordinate your collaborative efforts.
  3. If possible, link to a sample article to give other Wikipedians a feel for the project's goals.
  4. Advertise! Tell interested people on their talk page or mention it on the Scriptorium

[edit] Project listing

This is a listing of all the WikiProjects registered. You are encouraged to join and contribute to ones you find interesting. If a project seems neglected, feel free to try to encourage increased participation and develop the project further in the colloborative spirit of Wikipedia.
