Hello Schuppi, welcome to the multilingual Wikisource! Thanks for your interest in the project; we hope you'll enjoy the community and your work here.

This wiki is the original Wikisource wiki, originally hosting works in many languages. The larger collections have been spawned into separate projects, leaving this wiki to serve as a central collaboration point, and as an environment where works without a language subdomain can be started. Refer to our languages list to see which languages still reside on this wiki. You can find a list of the separate language projects on the main page or here and you may want to look at the our coordination page for limitations on placing certain works on the separate language projects.

Most questions and discussions about the community are in the Scriptorium.

The Community Portal lists tasks you can help with if you wish. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me on my talk page!

Stelae of Naukratis[edit]

Hi,

Danke sehr for what you do on Stelae of Naukratis (sorry my Deutsch is nicht sehr gut). Nur eine kleine Fragge : why do you put 'right upper tier' under 'left upper tier' and not side by side ? Example :

left upper tier[edit]

D45
D46
X1 O49
R8O29nb
p t
pt
M22bt
O49
T4t
O49
X8sS34

right upper tier[edit]

D45
D46
X1 O49
R8O29Vnb
p t
pt
M13t
H8
d
p p
O49
O49
X8sS34

It seems more logical to me. Don’t you think ? Cdlt, VIGNERON 09:52, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello VIGNERON,
thank you for your help. I tried to do so, but didn't know how. So I decided first to complet the text and do later some "facelifting". Perhaps you can help me, so that the text is more similar to the original. The main text in the original is written in columns but I think it is better to transform this into rows. I think about to cut the rows because they are very long and to mark in the hieroglyphic text the change of column. Later I will also add the English translation. Ok, i was wondering if it was a choice or not.
This table is not really simple and there is some elements that I doesn’t understand... I think I will redo it from the scratch.
I try a table hier : Talk:Stelae of Naukratis. I’m good ?

I’ve done other tests. Is it a choice to use :
M23
t
L2
t
nb
N17
N17
<
N5L1D28
>
Instead of :
M23
t
L2
t
nb
N17
N17
N5L1D28
The first is maybe a bit ugly but its far more simple.
Plus, I’m thinking to a template for the transcription, something simple (avoiding all the span, div, br, etc.) like :
{{Hiero|hiero=<hiero>X8-S34-N5:Z1-W19</hiero>|trans=rḏj ˁnḫ mj Rˁ|de=Er spendet Leben wie Re|en=He gives life like Re}}
What do you think ?

This is very good and simple. So it will be easier to edit the text. Schuppi 23:09, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Done : {{Hiero}}. I let you try it ; if you need help or explanations, dont hesit. Cdlt, VIGNERON 17:31, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your help. The code is now very simple and clear. I think I will make it. At your template I tried to add the french translation and it works (My French is not so good). Schuppi 00:12, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Template Hiero[edit]

With templates, we could automatically add categories. What do you think to add categories egyptian without german translation’', … english translation, … without french translation ? Cdlt, VIGNERON 10:25, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
