Number of articles

http://toolserver.org/~phe/statistics.php says that the top 10 Wikisources are (in order of all pages in mainspace):

• en -- English -- English
• ru -- Russian -- Русский
• zh -- Chinese (Simplified Han) -- ?
• pt -- Portugese -- Português
• he -- Hebrew -- עברית
• de -- German -- Deutsch
• fr -- French -- Français
• es -- Spanish -- Español
• it -- Italian -- Italiano
• pl -- Polish -- Polski

However, Arabic doesn't even seem to be in that table, so I'm not sure what the "real" top 10 list is. In any case, Chinese should be added. Banaticus 00:09, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

number of pages vs number of page views

So the template displays the number of pages for each listed language, but the languages are sorted according to page views? There are other languages with more page views (but less pages) who should instead be in the top 10 (like Norwegian) if we're solely going by page views. Displaying one category but sorting by a completely different non-displayed category just seems like a recipe for confusion. Banaticus 08:12, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

these numbers don't make much sense, maybe we should remove them?

I updated the page count using [2] as source, but the numbers there don't make much sense to me: in the "good articles" are counted both ns0 and nsPage pages, regardless of their quality, which is like counting apples and oranges. And aside from that, I think we should not give too much importance to the raw numbers, it's not a competition. I think it would be best not to show the numbers at all. --Candalua (talk) 10:10, 30 June 2015 (UTC)

I updated the lists below the circle, accordingly. They are IMO more informative than exact numbers of articles as one can know which wikisource projects are tiny and which are large. Personally, I see no objection to remove the numbers from the circle: they quickly become outdated. Any other comments? Ankry (talk) 16:41, 30 June 2015 (UTC)
