Da cap luna pisti noapte,
Ca 'nă galbină curună ;
Dzînile cu chepturǐ goale
Pi la șopute se-adună.
Ș'tu minute estă dulțe
Se-avdu cîrvînarǐ pri cale
Cum tut urdină ș'ma cîntă
Lăcrămos, cu-ahîntă jale,
Di si ntreabă laǐl'i munțî
Diștiptaț di-a lor cîntare:
„Țe aǔ, moǐ, di `ș'plîngu-așițe
Cîrvînarl'i `n calea mare?”
